I kissed my boyfriend Sunday. Monday night his throat started hurting so he went to the doctors Thursday and his doctor said he has mono. It's Friday now Is it possible I can get mono even though I didn't kiss him when he was having the symptoms? & still hasn't kissed him since?

You probably will NOT be able to kiss him for 18 months, after the original infection (virus particles in his saliva will remain, even IF he completely recovers).

This may be different in his case, so ask him what his doctor told him to be safer.

Like 5 or 6 months ago I was having high fevers, headaches, etc but no sore throat. I went to the doctors and at first they said it could most likely be mono so they tested me and did strep test too. They said it was strep throat, but I had no swollen glands no white dots on my throat or anything so I have no idea how it was strep . Could my doctor been wrong and it might have been mono but I got it tooken care of before it got to serious?

Strep throat does not always develop these white/yellowish areas in every person.

Strep throat is difficult to diagnose, and some cases are usually dismissed. Maybe if you didn't suggest mononucleosis, then your doctor may not have identified you with strep throat (they are somewhat alike).

I think that not all symptoms, in every person, shout Strep! And if you don't believe that you have it, then ask for your doctor to give you a throat swab culture test.

A blood test will determine if you have mono.
