I originally had ombré hair and decided to have one color. I bleached my whole hair but parts are yellow, mostly top, and middle is brassy. I tried to stay away from the roots but some turned out more yellow. I then toned my hair to remove brassiness and helped reduce the brassiness but not enough. Basically my hair is uneven. I probably didn't saturate the hair with enough bleach and am thinking of rebleaching the darker areas. I've been using eella color charm t18 to tone but wondering if I can use the medium ash blonde or light ash brown color instead. Will using an ash color dye make my hair more brassy? I basically want to tone the whole hair down to an ashy blonde or even brown color without the brassiness. How long do I wait? Can I do this process the day after my first bleach/tone process?

I actually purchased the xp200 precolor porosity equalizer and used it before coloring. Then I used a 10vol developer and mixed it with dark ash blonde. After dying then I applied the xp200 pH normalizer. So far it has turned out really well. I recommend using the XP before and after.

You can use a demi-permanent color immediately (such as Goldwell Colorance). Ash colors will not make hair brassy, they will eliminate or reduce brassiness.
