We recently noticed that our washer won't high spin. It makes a noise like its trying to spin but nothing happens and it smells hot. It fills, drains and agitates fine. Today we replaced the whole clutch assembly and checked the coupler (coupler was fine). It worked for a couple of loads and then stopped doing the final high spin. Our model is the Whirlpool LSB6300LW2 Top loader. I have also noticed that clothes are constantly getting stuck under the agitator and I have to check to make sure that a sock hasn't been lodged up under there. I am wondering if if there is another quick-fix resolution that I can try before calling someone out to take a look at it or any tests I can run to narrow down the potential problem. Thank you! They should help you diagnose it. You need a meter.
