Hi how are you? My name is Shannon and I am about 7 days late on my period! I have had a little spotting but nothing that indicates an actual period. I have taken pregnancy test after pregnancy tests. All I am getting are negatives. When should I wait to take a new one or should I go to my OB/GYN?? I am usually right on time every month, give or take a couple of days. Last time I was a week late I found out I was pregnant, but unfortunately we miscarried at 9 weeks. What could be going on to make me so late if I am not pregnant? Am I testing to early? Thanks for the help!

You are simply testing too early...

You should be 14 days late before taking a HPT first thing in the AM the first time you pee that morning. Try again in another week. Early tests are prone to false negatives if you are.

You are wasting your money after money testing so early. You need to be 2 week late just to start testing, and even then may have to wait a little longer.

So just wait a week and then test.
When you do test, always use the first urine of the morning as soon as you wake up

When I was pregnant last year I tested on the 7th day and got a pos. I am doing first morning urine! I know that's the best time and the highest level of hcg! Thanks I am going to wait a week! I am too impatient though.. Lol

Sometimes you might get a positive early... and a positive is usually correct because they test for a hormone that isn't always at detectible levels earlier.

That's why a Pos is usually correct... but a negative on an early test might be wrong because the hormone tested hasn't gotten to a detectible level yet.

That's what I am hoping for. Still spotting and such but not giving up hope!
