A good friend of mine who's father was from Nigeria, was left an inheritance for her to claim in Lagos Nigeria. In most cases, are there expenses upfront for the claimer to pay the bank and or lawyer in order to begin the process of claim?

[QUOTE=myoungc;3528195]She's someone I really know, she wants to know if there's any thing that she has to pay upfront or should the expenses all come from the inheritance at the end of the process?

If she really knows them, and does not live there, hire an attorney there to represent her in the prcedings.

The at tourney left in charge of the case by the diseased, should he have been paid ahead of time for his services by the person leaving the inheritance?
