Im 14 all my friends have there period, as far as I know, But I do not, and I feel like I need it to be apart of what my friends talk about.
One of my friends rubbs it in my face because she got it first and she's younger and she knew I would feel weird if she got it, Its always a competition between us.
One time we were talking about when were older and having kids, and she said, well you can't have kids. And I slapped her.:D
Is it normal to have it so late, I mean all my friends have it, But not me, And I feel like maybe ill be one of those peoples who get it when there 17 and can't have kids. And I know it'll probably be like that because I've always wanted kids When I get older and life always backfires on me. My mom had it at 13, but my dad hit puberty at like 16+ or something.
I think its normal, but its weird how I don't have it
My boobs are pretty developed, I have zits but no sign of a period at all

Can a yeast infection Make the period not show up... Im so curious and there's a lot of things I still want to know But ill save for another day, PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTIONS!

You did WHAT? That is not cute nor is it funny. Sure she may have hurt your feelings, but that is WRONG. Please don't ever raise your hand to another again.

Is it normal to ahve it so late,

It is not abnormal. Menstruation is genetic, when did your mother or grandmother start?

i feel like maybe ill be one of those peoples who get it when there 17 and can't have kids.

Just because you get it later doesn't mean you can't have kids. Whoever gave you this info is WRONG!! And chances are you will start sooner rather than later.

Untreated maybe, but not usually. Do you have one?

Typically, menstruation is genetic, it also depends on weight. Many girls get theirs when they weigh about 100 pounds. If you are heavy into sports, that can delay it, if you are overweight or underweight, that can delay it.

Menstruation is not a competition. Believe me, you will hate having it the day you wear white pants to school and are unprepared.

I do have one, but I can't seem to tell my mom about it, I've had it since summer, I'm a really dumb girl I can't talk to anyone about that stuff:(

Okay, first of all, standing up for yourself does not mean laying hands on people. This is abuse plain and simple. You should NEVER hit another human being under any circumstances, PERIOD!! If you do, be prepared to be hit back. That is totally uncalled for.

Now, to the yeast infection... You NEED to talk to your mother. It could get VERY bad, and yes I remember your posts from this summer.

Yeast is a fungus, and continues to grow. Your mother has most likely had them, so she knows all about them. If you don't get it taken care of there is a chance that you will not be able to have children.

Also, how do you survive with the pain and itching of a yeast infection if you truly have one?

You are not dumb. Don't ever let anyone make you thing you are.

You are talking to me, so just pretend your Mum is me. For your health, you need to tell her.

I just am really nervous about it, and she acts so clueless so I have to explain it completely and its really weird...

Also the itch is horrible and I can't stand it, for a while its been buggin me, I'm to embarrassed to talk to my mom She's never alone and I don't want my brothers to hear, also how do I come up with the words..
Mom I have a yeast infection can you take me to the doctor, its not that easy, I'm a shyperson and I dotn talk to my mom about that

Ok instead of feeling out of the loop look how lucky you are, you don't bloat up a week out of every month, you don't have to worrie about maybe having blood bleed threw your pants, you don't have to be cranky and when you get a boyfriend you don't have to worrie about anything physical... I really wish I would have started my period later in life, its like shaving your legs the 1st time your happy because your normal and you did it, every time after it's a pain in the butt!

Oh, hun, I am sorry you are in this position.

What you can do is tell her that you have to talk to her in private. You have to get her alone if you are embarrassed.

Then tell her that you have a problem with itching down below and wonder if something is wrong.

If you can't talk to your mother, you should at least talk to the school nurse.

But I don't have a school nurse, and I think I mentioneed it to my mom, but I don't think she thinks that its acually a yeast infection, when I'm pretty sure it is... I KNOW I need to tell her,. I acually can't even say to my mom " i need to talk to you alone " I'm not open with my mom at all... and I really don't want some person looking down there *Shudder*

Well, *giggle* if you don't want someone looking down there, how do you expect to have kids? That is where they come from after all. Your husband will need to look there, as well as the doctors.

Hun, an untreated yeast infection can be very serious to your health and lead to something called septicemia. Which means it can get into your bloodstream, and that can be very dangerous.

I think we had this conversation this summer, didn't we? You just need to suck it up, take a deep breath, and tell your mother that you need to go to the doctor.

Yes, hun, you could do that if you are so embarrassed. You can do that. I would be willing to talk to her for you if I could.

Sweetie, there is nothing to feel ashamed about. All of us women get yeast infections. We all do. Your mother will understand.
