I can't remember how to install replacement drive cable where to connect

I will post the parts breakdowns for the machine.
The lever #8 in the drawing is the clutch lever on the transmission so the lower end of the cable fastens there. Cannot from the drawing, it is not possible to identify where the outer casing fastens.
The control lever assembly #8 in the second drawing may or mat not have a small cover on the bottom side that allows you to hook the end of the cable into the lever and the outer casing will have a raised ring around it the will fit into one of a number of slotted areas near where the cable assembly exits the control. Normally you start with the one nearest the lever. If it has an adjustment thumbwheel, then only slot may be there. It may be that the whole thing has to be opened to fasten the cable. Should be #2 Phillips screws and it will be trickier.
