This is going to take a second to explain. I babysit a four year old girl for my summer job. Since I have began babysitting her she has been talking about a witch that has appeared in the house sometimes when I'm there. She said that she also had dreams about her. She started, one day, ask me questions about her and when I would tell her that I don't know the answer she would laugh and tell me that, yes, I do know. She said that I know this "witch." I asked her where the witch was and she told me, "she's beind your eyes she likes to hide there" it scared me. A week later she asked me what the witches name was. I told her I didn't know and eventually after a while got her distracted with television until it was time to go. As I got to my car I noticed that something was keyed above my door handle. It read "torbit" At this point I was only pissed because my car had been keyed. I called my boyfriend and told him about it and asked him to look up what that word meant. A little later I was sitting in traffic playing on my
Phone and looking up the word and low and behold Torbit is the name of a witch who is a part of a legend in my hometown. You can look it up. Gadsden, Al Hinds Road. I'm not so much afraid of this as I am curious. I don't know why this is happening to me and I need help.

Fr_chuck replied to this but looks like the first post was deleted.
A witch does not live inside your eyes/head. If it manifests itself there you have more power than it (at least at this point) since it is not a poltergist. I think its more power of suggestion by a 4 year old that may be seeing something from the spiritual realm or may have a vivid imagination. Either case you can choose to just let her continue with her stories as she has, or question her more to see if it all adds up to anything or gets crazy, or ask her to stop talking about it

Are you the only person on this website? You're taking me for a fool. Very obviously, a witch is not inside of my body. I'm just questioning what it call mean. You're not helping me. You're just throwing around some bs to try and make yourself sound smart and me stupid. Is there anyone who actually has any sense here?

I was a preschool teacher (four-year-olds). They have imaginations like you wouldn't believe and can keep a story going until the cows come home (and even after that). Andy used to tell me how his dad's car would jump over other cars when there was a long line of stopped traffic. Alyssa reported on long conversations she had with her dolls and stuffed animals at home. Mark moaned about how his mother (a fellow teacher at the school where I was) would lock him in the closet as soon as he got home from school and wouldn't let him out to eat or go to the bathroom until it was bedtime (totally bogus).
Methinks, for your own mental health, you should stop encouraging this little storyteller -- or at least don't take her seriously.

You have quite the attitude. You didn't like what Fr_Chuck said to you and you mouthed off to him, then started a whole new thread to ask again. Now you get nasty over this other comment.
What did you really expect? You want us to make sense when you're asking a question like this? Because a 4 YEAR OLD told you they saw a witch behind you? Really?
You're an adult and you take the word of a 4 year old and start getting nervous about it... and we don't make sense.
Ok, let me help you...
Yes! There is a witch following you! She is behind you all the time! She is a relative from the past and you have special powers that you haven't realized yet!
Sounds like a movie...

I Googled for "Torbit." The one site I found was so badly written with spelling and grammatical mistakes (plus craziness) that I couldn't even begin to take it seriously.

... or Torbit is a web tool... maybe a web tool is following her.

No idea where the first thread went to, ( and I should be able to find any of them)
But yes, I found it hard to even take your post serious, that any adult would or could take some comments of a 4 year old serious. Let me see most have invisible friends, pets, they see monsters in closets ( where a adult gets a monster killer to make them feel better)
How any adult can possibly take this serious is almost frightening.
Next no withes do not do any of this, you are talking about demons, and they are different.
Next witchcraft can and will not work against you unless are you willing to accept it. But a person who could accept the silliness of a 4 year old, can accept it , I guess.
By taking this seriously you just encourage the 4 year old to make up more and continue the silliness.

... and it was your words about the witch behind your eyes like you were questioning this. So where do you come off jumping on us when we reply to it?

It was a "Mobile - Uncategorized" that Curlyben removed because of the rude response you got.

Yep, I read it went to the main page hit it again and it was this one with fr_chucks reply not included and re- categorized. Funny how some ask a question and get más when you answer USING their OWN words.

Katie - I would think that the most realistic thing you could do would be to speak with the parents. This may be something she keeps up at home, or it may shed light on where she is getting the information.
I do believe in spiritual situations such as what you describe, however there are other things to check into first before you can assume the 4 year old is accurately in tune with the spirit world.

Okay I am not quite sure about the witch but I do congratulate you on what you said in the comments no need to make you look crazy or anything. If you ask my opinion it is story made up by a small child. And your question about maybe a relation you could try ancestry .com to see what they say
