My jack russel dozer ate a banana nut muffin and has had 2 seizures. Could the muffin be the cause?

No he's probably had seizures all along but none big enough to be noticed.. if the seizures are consistent, than you should probably see a vet.

Sugar isnt good for dogs

That's true. But the OP asked about seizures, not sugar intake.

So the sugar in the banana nut muffin couldn't cause seizures?

That alone wouldn't cause seizures. If a seizure occurred after eating a banana muffin, it was a pre-existing condition most likely.

I'm not saying that sugar is okay for dogs, or that a dog should eat banana muffins, but it's unlikely that the banana muffin is the cause of the seizure. There's more going on here than simply that.

Sugar doesn't cause seizures.. abnormal potassium levels cause seizures

Yes, and one banana (not even because one banana muffin wouldn't have a full banana in it) won't cause your potassium levels to go up high enough to cause a seizure.

What about the nuts in the muffin?
