I wouldn't waste my time asking questions and just take him as soon as possible to a hospital emergency room and get his ailment taken care of. He is just suffering the way he is. I think he is still too young to be vaccinated by nowadays with so many pendamics around I would be cautious with his health.

I suggested that but my sister said that I am being over protective... I am at school right now... but should I have my husband take him?

Call your son's Dr. explain the symptoms and let him decide if you are being over protective. Better safe than sorry.

Since our new baby. We have gone to emergency and clinics and doctors appointments on many times. Each time we were told things are normal, even though to us they were not.
Now for a baby some doctors prefer to let the baby fight off infections on there own. I was not to sure about giving medication. My son has had a very bad sinuses, also coughing and wheezing. Sunday we were told that he should be on antiobitics. I am like I do not know, I went to two different pharmacies to get their advice on it and the doctor. They all said that when the baby is close to 6 months. The infections is in his lungs even though it maybe considered minor right now, it is best to nip it in the bud so it does not turn into bronchitis or anmonia. So that is something to think about.
Get your baby checked out as soon as you can. Usually, or in my case we were told to wait a week and see how he is doing. No more messing around after that. I think it all depends on how bad it is.
PLEASE ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR INSTINCTS. EVEN IF IT TURNS OUT IT WAS NOT THAT SERIES AT LEAST YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO RELAX EITHER WAY OF FINDING OUT WHAT TO DO.
Good luck.

You need to take your baby to the doctor. You are not over reacting and you are not over protective, you are a MOTHER.
It could be a viral infection for which there is nothing to do but manage the symptoms. Or it could be a bacterial infection wherein your son needs antibiotics. But you just don't know until he is checked out.
Until then, when you give him cough syrup make sure it is one that not only lessens the cough, but has an expectorant in it to help break up any congestion in his chest.

The Ow could be a sore throat, which could be strep. See his doctor at once. A simple course of antibiotics could end his suffering. If it's a virus and nothing more, so what? I'd rather take my son to the doctor and be wrong than withhold treatment if I were right. Your son is saying Ow to indicate pain. No mother is out of line for being concerned. Hope he feels better soon.

Thank you all for your advice, I did end up takig him to the doctor after he didn't sleep all night and he coughed all night. It ended up being bronchitis. And it is a good thing that I took him in because it could have developed into the pnhmonia... I took him in cause he had a fever of 103.2 this morning... so thank you all.
