I saw a south asian movie many years back. I donot remember whether it was korean, japanese or chinese. The story was set in the feudal period. A lord is searching for a bride for his son and sends his friend to another neighboring lord's housed for a bride. In this house there is the daughter of the house who is very wilful and loudmouthed and a poor relative girl, the niece of the lord, who is very beautiful and nice. The father decides to marry his daughter to the boy. The bride hunter likes the niece and decides she is best for the groom. He spreads rumours that the groom is lame and ugly to look at. The bride's family decides to marry off the niece to the groom to avoid enmity with the groom's family. When the groom arrives for the marriage they find that he is very handsome and fit. His marriage with the niece takes place and the poor girl gets the lord's son as her groom.
