View Full Version : Will I go to jail if I don't bring the money I'm supposed to?

I was recently charged with theft under and obviously I was caught :P and I was informed by my lawyer to bring the money I stole. What's going to happen? Because I haven't been saving whatever money I receive. My bosses at the time know I offered to pay the money back but I only said that. That just makes me wonder if they'll want the rest if I do show up at court with the amount of money I need

What?

Are you asking if you'll pay back and walk away?

Will the judge decide to send me to jail if I don't show up with the cash my next court date knowing I offered to pay it back once he reviews my file

Yes, if you do not show up to court you will have a warrant out for your arrest.

This is my very first offence and my lawyer expects me to bring the cah I stole so I can give it back... If I go to court without the cash will I go to jail?

Before I was charged my coworker was charged a few weeks before me for theft over.
He only admits to 6 grand and not to the amount he is being accused of.

When we both show up in court in 2 weeks can he say I had a part in his theft knowing I have a theft charge too?

Hope that makes sense

Of course he can say that. It will be up to your attorney to prove that he is lying.

Probably.

My lawyer doesn't know about my co worker being accused though

What if they don't believe me when I say I had no part in his theft and that I was the one who made it known he was stealing while I was on my break because the cops have proof that I lied when I said I never stole

Look dude, you stole. Period. You were wrong. You have to face the music. Time to pay the piper. Stop trying to make excuses for your illegal behavior.

Lol I ain't making excuses for what I did. Truth be told - if I didn't get caught I would've stole more. Better yet if I had the spare keys at home I would've went back for more after I was fired just like my co worker did

You deserve to be put away.

Yeah, that's where drugs lead you.

"Yeah, that's where drugs lead you."

I'm sure you have a point here when you are boasting about stealing. What is it?

Yeah, that's where drugs lead you.

Blaming it on drugs is even more pathetic. You made the choice to take drugs, and you made the choice to steal, so the correct post would have been "Yeah, that's where I lead myself".

Bottom line, you stole, and you're going to court because of it. Hopefully you have a crap lawyer and you'll end up in jail, that way you won't have the option to do drugs, or steal. You'll be forced to quit both.

The cash was always there plus no cameras too so that made it easy. Yeah I made the choice to steal and guess what? I don't regret any of it. I knew this would happen once I was offered the bank teller position.

Legal aide isn't providing my lawyer so he won be a "crap lawyer" and why should I go to jail if the guy I worked with is still a free man considering he stole way more than me?

You actually think jail will stop me from doing drugs or stealing? Even after I was fired I still managed to get high and steal.

"You'll be forced to quit" ha

I reported this some time ago - should be closed, possibly removed (which is not policy but does happen).

It's stinking up the place. Just another bored person wanting attention, any attention, even negative.

Too bad he stumbled onto a site where his posts aren't even shocking. This is boring the heck out of me. A thief that isn't sorry he stole. There's an original story! NOT!

He's not even a good troll. :(

You got that right... pure amateur.

Read his question and then follow through... now it's at a bank where he was stealing... right, right.

Ya. He's so boring. If you're going to troll, at least make it believable, and unique. A thief and drug addict? That's so yesterday! No one falls for this shtick anymore. Yawn. I almost want to give him a few tips on what works in trolling, since he's completely failed. But it's much more fun to point out his failures. :)

I already know my failures. I planned this predicament waaaaay before I graduated high school. I knew while in grade school I'd work at the bank and steal, heck I even did it with my boss right in front of me. I handed the cash off like nothing.

You want shocking? Both my bosses were my uncles but that's not how I landed the job. As people say "family is the first to F you over"
