I have 3 3 week old kittens, started with 5 but 2 have since passed. Their toenails are starting to turn black and are losing hair on their paws. Does anyone know why or has had this problem before?

It's time to take them for a vet check.

They can die. The fleas suck their blood until they die. Grown cats can handle it but little kittens no. Frontline is the only flea stuff I have found that isn't a waste of money. Vets will tell you that the other brands are harmful to pets. From everything I've seen that is true. Take them to the vet asap.
