With most or all hand-operated e-brake vehicles the e-brake is correct when it holds in the first 3 clicks. And it is easy enough to adjust, but with a pedal operated 2001 dodge ram 5.2 L 318 engine it is difficult to know when it is right. There are no clicks to go by and I wish I knew how high or low the foot pedal would be when it is correct.I followed the instructions in the Chilton manual and still I'm in doubt .Another thing is: When a vehicle has r.w.a.l. brakes would it make sense to test the brakes by driving and dragging the tires.Would'nt the a.b.s. kick in and prove the test faulse? My van needs to past a test and I would like to past the first time. Thanks to any one who knows these answers.
