I was presribed hq for melasma and the product I have received is labelled monobenzone. Hydroquinone monobenzyl ether 4% I'm confused. Is this hydroquinone

I did ask pharmacist but she says hospital chemist made this up. I understand that monobenzone used for vitiligo treatment and deastroys the cells that make pigment therefore skin has no colour whereas hydroquinone reduces or slows down the c. ells and cells but not killing them therefor pigment is present and lighter. I may have to contact hospital pharmacy.thanks for rply
