I just installed the fan and when I was going to program the remote it said to pres the SET button for 1to5 sec and the fan needs approximately 5 min to set the speeds and be ready to use. However the fan only moves a few times left and right and it stops. When I try to use it it does the same thing goes back and forth few times and stops. The only thing working properly is the light. Can someone please help me.

If this fan and remote was recently purchased, return it as defective and get a new one.
