My ac quit working a few days ago, after a little searching I found a blown fuse (5a) on a small board inside the handler in the garage (I thing that's what's its called, I'm new to all this) After replacing the fuse twice, it blew almost right away. After talking to a friend he said to replace my thermostat (the wires on the board in the handler run to the thermostat) and the display on the old thermostat was acing strange. So, I got a Honeywell RTH 7400. After setting it up the display works fine, the fuse is fine, but nothing is turning on, even though the thermo says the ac and fan are on. Im fairly sure I hoked up everything correctly. Wires are as follows:

C-Blue
G-Green
Y1-Yellow
R-Red
W2-White
W1-Orange

My friend now thinks the unit is not receiving a signal from the new thermostat.

Old thermostat was an Totaline P474-0100
Unit is a Bryant FA4ANF048
Everything is on in the breaker
House was built in 02 so everythings about 5 years old.

The only thing that concerns me is in the installation manual it says if you have Y1, W1 and W2 wires "stop now, and contact a qualified contractor for help" Oh please God no.
In someone can spare me the agony of calling the "pros" I would be eternally grateful.

Try switching these to W2-orange W1-white. If that fails call a qualified contractor.

Is your unit a heat pump, and if so do the instructions for the thermostat include heat pumps? Not all thermostats will work with heat pumps. For more on this, see the sticky at the top of the forum.

Look at this link and DL the install guide below the more info box. This is the old stat instructions. This may also help you to figure it out.
