I had a dream that I made love with my ex and wanted to make it up to me. He kept on saying he loves me. He kept on saying he loves me and I am involved with someone for a long period. Why am I having dreams about my ex for a few months.

Because some part of you misses that person. We all miss parts of our past, or re-live those memories. I think dreams are the minds therapist and problem solver. Your mind is re-living what you enjoyed, the good times with that person. I wouldn't worry about it, unless it affects you in your current relationship. If so, seek professional help.
