I live in Finland, and I am currently having trouble finding information regarding military service. Finland is a part of the European Union, therefore I am wondering if it's possible to conduct my military training in another EU nation, namely England. Since after my education here is complete, I want to move to England for the rest of my life, therefore I would like to conduct my military training there, since then it would not go to waste.

Unlike Finland, I don't believe the U.K. has mandatory military service. So why would the U.K. want to train you, knowing that you would not serve your country and probably would not serve in the British military either?

Check with the Finnish military establishment to see if there is such an exchange program.

Actually, my intention was to get trained despite it not being mandatory, since to me, military service is something that's a part of a man's life. And a way to show you are willing to do what you can. However, I will take your advice on asking the military officials if I can track them down. Thank you for your answer.
