My cycle has been different for the last 3 months .I start spotting a week before my period, then once my period comes the flow is heavier and there is some clotting . Is this something I need to be concerned about

It can be a sign of other problems, but usually it's just part of life. It doesn't hurt to get checked out by a professional though. I definitely recommend Planned Parenthood, especially if you need financial assistance. If you have a family doctor though I would just mention this to them. If this is associated with any pain it can be a sign of cysts. Usually though if it's just a cycle problem, birth control will be prescribed to help regulate your period.
