I have a 1 year old black lab/boxer mix female. She's is the most affectionate dog I have ever owned. As of yesterday she isn't so much in your face as normal. She is also laying around a little more than normal and yesterday she peed three times in the house, the last time she came in the bathroom room where I was and peed in front of me. She's eating and drinking normal. The heat really bothers her so we keep water around all the time and take her for swims. The last time we swam was Sunday. She also gets very excited when she arrives at the creek and drinks the creek water and "snacks" on what ever she can find floating down the creek or grasses on the shoreline. We stop her but I'm sure we're not stopping everything from going down her throat. I have an appointment later today but I'm just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what is going on, if anything. She's my daughter and I'm just a little upset that she's not acting like herself.

I grew up on a lake - allowing a dog to snack on everything/anything she sees and drink water which might be contaminated is a recipe for disaster. Your daughter needs to learn some rules.

Let us know what the Vet says.

Possibly a uti since she is peeing inappropriately.
