I got bit by a dog, a family members dog, and it looks to be uninfected. We were camping so we used alcohol to clean and was not able to irrigate it?. should I go see a doctor? It hurts but only because it's on my leg and I'm sure it hit muscle. The wound itself is dark red (scabbed over) and not swollen or tender.

Dog up to date on Rabies shot? If so, you are probably OK .

Yes! My brother said his shots were current. That makes me feel better. I'm just not sure... I hear infections can be bad but it looks to be good and I heal pretty quick. Thought I'd chance it!

Just keep an eye on it. Sounds like it is healing properly. If it starts to get red or hot, see your doctor.

I agree with ma0641, if the dog is up to date on its shots, I wouldn't worry.
Dog saliva is very clean, you have less to worry about with a dog bite (when the dog is vaccinated, and disease free) than you do from a human bite.
Keep the area clean, and covered. Pain is normal for any bite, and not an indicator of infection. If the bite is red and swollen, or pus filled, then you should see a doctor.
But, from what you describe, I wouldn't worry too much.
I've been bitten too many times to count, and not once required a visit to the doctor.
