I'm 18 and going to college starting in January. I've never had a boyfriend or even a kiss.Or a date. :( I'm going community college to get a vet tech degree, so I'll only be in college for like 2 years. Can't meet a lot of guys there, I know a lot of people from high school who are going there. So I won't meet new anyone new, really. And the vet tech program will be mostly girls probably. How can I meet some new guys? It's not like I'm going to a university with thousands of new people, just a small community college. I just want to meet new people, I want to start dating someone. But how?

By the way, I know school comes first. But if I have time to date, why not? I want to have fun sometimes, not just work and study all the time. So please don't say 'Just focus on school' because I will, but I also want to date or get a boyfriend too.

I am sure there will be a lot of activities and you will meet new people. Enjoy yourself and don't put a lot of pressure on yourself for not finding a boyfriend. Sometimes having some good guy friends and hanging out with them is more memorable than a boyfriend that you could end up broke up with anyway.

Look Negative Nancy - instead of approaching this with a sucky negative attitude how about approaching this with a Positive Paula attitude? If you were to pick which do you think would be more successful? Negative Nancy or Positive Paula? Have a positive attitude will not only impact you getting a boyfriend but it will also impact every aspect of your life.

College has the potential of being the best time of your life. You will meet life long friends. So what if it is 2 years at a community college? Who is to say you won't love college and want to take part time classes after that?

In addition there are other ways to meet guys. Sign up for tennis lessons, salsa dancing, acting classes, volunteer at a pet shelter - in order words don't limit yourself.

Maybe, just maybe, if you had a more positive attitude then more people would find your attractive and I am not talking about in a physical way. People want to be around positive people. So go out there and be Smiley Suzanne.
