I am 53, 5'11'' 165lbs on no meds and good health until the last 2-3 weeks I suddenly started having severe muscle soreness in my upper chest, shoulders,upper back, arms - especially underarms and finger pain as well as very sensitive skin to the touch like a bad sun burn but have not been exposed to the sun - in all those areas - especially the arms. Any ideas??
Have tried advil - which gives a little temporary relief.
Another strange thing - I was so sore I did not think I would be able to swim but the cool water seemed to take away most of my pain and I felt normal again until I got out of the water and was back to feeling like a crippled old man and am having an extremely hard time sleeping because of the pain.

Have you seen a Dr. yet... sounds almost like the symptoms for Shingles.
