Hello I am cleopatra's mama, cleo is my kitten who is about 8 months old. She recently had babies. 6 were born only 4 have survived. Anyhow we recently had cleo fixed about a week ago to keep her from having more babies. Now she refuses to eat or nurse, and she has diarrhea. She is an inside and outside cat but every time she comes in she uses the bathroom on the floor. I'm more worried as to why she doesn't feel the need to feed her babies?! It has prob been 24 hours since their last full feeding. Her kittens are about 3 1/2 - 4 weeks old. Of course I have bought formula and started feeding them. Can anyone help?

Did the vet know she was still nursing when you had her fixed? If she has diarrhea and refuses to eat, I would take her to the vet before she becomes dehydrated. Urinating in strange areas usually means something is wrong. Please have her checked.

Yes the vet did know, I made that very clear and let them know my concerns. They even gave her pain meds for her to take while nursing. When she comes in she is pooping. Ever since she gave birth her anus would leak, but now she comes in from being outside and she will find a spot and poop. It's like water. Thank you for replying, ill get a hold of the vet asap!
