I have a Kenmore fridge model #106.56642500 . Was working - know it does not cool I plug it in all night n still hot. The fan turns on you can hear it the light too. But just won't get cool

Can you hear the compressor working? Reasons for not cooling include, dirty coils, compressor failure, relay failure, temp overload device, control board. Depending on the age of the refrigerator, repair may be more costly than replacement.

The number one problems are dirty coils and defrost system problems along with a bad thermostat. These are all cheap and easy to fix. I always favor fixing over replacement unless it's a bad compressor. The compressor can also have a bad start relay, and on newer ones a bad capacitor which wear out. Cheap fixes.
