I missed the June 15 deadline to file my U.S. Form 8840 Closer Connection because I thought that I only had to file it every three years and I had filed it last year for 2009/10/11.

Will I be penalized if I file now? Am I better to just keep it and show it at the border,if asked?

It is better to file late than not at all, so file it now.
