Our game isn't football anyway, it's hockey.

Uh? I don't think that means anything really. It is 'tongue-in-cheek'. Are you saying we Canadians value our beer above a strong army? I thought this was a post that was going to be light-hearted?

All I know is one of these days I'm going to have the patience to set aside a couple bottles of Maudite and let them age a couple years before I drink them . I hear that is the proper way to consume it

As for the Candian military... I've made light hearted fun of them in the past . But the Canadians have been staunch allies and friends for many years and have always done their part . Besides ;we tried invading twice and got our butts kicked.

Didn't the Chicago team just win that battle?

Not sure if Maudite is available here but I'll have to take a look.

Yes, OUR Stanley cup is back down there, won fair and square, but hockey is still our game, having started up here about 150 years ago.

I don't think we can buy this beer in Ontario. In French maudite translates to cursed or damned. I don't know why they named it that.

Here you go: Unibroue | Maudite (http://www.unibroue.com/en/beers/17/history)
Lots of great microbreweries in Quebec and the East Coast, choices galore.

That's OK, I'm guessing most of their players are Canadians.

I'm in luck, they have it at my favorite grocer down the street from work.
