We have small flying insects in our home.
This is the third year we have had this problem.
The 1st year I used vinegar, soap and anything that any one would tell me to try.
There were cups and bowels everywhere,
Some of the insects where found dead . The problem still existed. When winter
They disappeared. As soon as it got warm again the insects were back.
The second year someone told me about fly strips(strips of plastic with glue all over them) I had them sticking all over the house.
At first they did not seem to work. A couple of weeks later we began to see the pest less and less. When we looked at the strips they where filled . We would
Still see the bugs now and then flying around. When winter came they where gone again. This is the third year and they are back again. They are just as strong as ever. I have stared putting the strips up . I pray that some way this problem will be solved. I live in St Louis Mo. County. I am a senior person and I have a degree in education.

Unless we can identify these insects, trapping them on the glue strips is probably the best thing you can do.

Is there any way to get a digital picture of them? I can walk you through the process of posting it.

Barring that, a more detailed description will be necessary. Small and flying eliminates about a quarter of the likely suspects. Do they have distinguishable body segments? Are they half an inch long or a millimeter (or a full inch)?

Your title mentions bites. Do they leave a welt? Do you notice the bite immediately or does it take a minute to start itching?
