Today I went to the restroom,felt like I poop, but when I wiped there was blood and when I got up the toilet water had blood in it no poop. At night when I'm in bed my lower back hurts to the point that it wakes me up. Is this related? I'm 28 . Can anyone help

This happened to me when I was younger. It was a tear in my rectum. The blood in the toilet always looks 10 times worse mixed with water. But I would most definitely get it checked out!

Was it bright red blood, or clots, or black/brown?

It is often hard to tell where the bleeding is. It is something that is unusual and should be taken care of by a medical professional. Maybe at an ER.
