I need a live scan with DOJ and FBI. I had about 5 petty convictions ($3 - $100) over 27 years ago from Wisconsin. I'm in California now. Do these old convictions show up on the live scan report? What happens if I don't enter my aka maiden name or state of birth? I'm so tired of these old things haunting me. Thanks for answering.

I had to do the livescan in order to get a banking license so I could offer financing on cars. I had to fill out the paper work before hand and it had a few questions that I had to fill in. They are pretty thorough. You're talking about the FBI so they have everything available on you. If your name was legally changed, they'll know who you are all based on your SS#.

With that said, what are you doing the scan for? Petty convictions 27 years ago may not even make a difference.

The scan is for working in community care with the elderly. It's my understanding that many hoops have to be jumped through if any convictions. Paperwork, 3 written character references, months of additional review..
