I know someone that feels neglected, unwanted, miserable, and wants to get out of their house. She is depressed and unsure about life, that's how they make her feel EVERY day. She has 7 family mambers in the house right now, not including her. My question is, how can she get out?

They won't let her go, she is basically is wanting to save her own life.

They act like she's not there, they treat her like she's nothing but an accident. She just tells me she needs help

Who are you in her life? How do you fit in?

Has she called a hotline for help? Or reported this abuse to an adult (teacher, minister, etc.) who can find help for her?

As a minor, she cannot just leave home.

She can't talk to a judge or anything related to that, to get to another family member? Its to where the point she can't stand anything anymore.

I didn't say anything about a judge. Please answer my questions.

Honest, yes, I am not giving you my information or name. Just wanted to know if it was possible to leave legally.

If your parents say no, you cannot leave legally -- unless you report them to Child Protective Services as abusing you. Then you will be removed from your home and put into foster care (which could end up being worse than where you are now).

Have you called a teen hotline to talk with a counselor?

Here's one--

The Boys Town National Hotline is a toll free number available to kids, teens and young adults at anytime. Please contact us if you're depressed, contemplating suicide, being physically or sexually abused, on the run, addicted, threatened by gang violence, fighting with a friend or parent, or if you are faced with an overwhelming challenge.

We can provide help and hope if you call our Hotline (1-800-448-3000).
