My feiend's ex girlfriend put him in jail on false charges so now he has a violation of probation. She popped up where he was at with scratches all over her face and said he beat on her and he didn't even touch her AT ALL! Is he going back to prison even if there is no evidence that he put his hands on her?

If there are no witnesses, there is no proof, no, it's her word against his.

Was there a protective order in place?

No protective order in place. She just popped up out of no where. Had scratches on her face and took off running. When he found her, she was already talking to police. His friends witnessed the whole thing.

She can't just accuse with no proof and expect the accusation to stick - I'd say he's okay.
