My daughter in law never has cared for me. I have done so many things for my son and her and my grandchildren. I have called many many times to my son and have left voices mails. He will not return any of my calls. It has been 6 months. If I text and ask questions what is going on he will not respond.

So now I text him and say 'I lv u son' or 'have a blessed day'. He will text back 'I lv u too mom'. I haven't seen my grandchildren also.I think he doesn't want the confrontation to explain why she won't let me see the childern and he is put in the middle of his wife and mother.

I am single and take care of my 96 year old mother. My son is 35 years old, she is the same age as him. They have been married for 11 years. I am 52 years old. Please do you have any advice for me?

How were things before they married? At the wedding?

Can you think back and remember any incident that would have upset your daughter in law?

Have you invited them over to see you and your mother? How far away do you live from each other?

I suspect things are not going so well and its more about him and his family since your mom hasn't seen him either, so whatever it is, you have to give them time and space to work through things. I know that's hard with not knowing what's up with his wife and him to understand what the issues are.

I think its her you need to talk to, not confront but talk, so is that possible? Face to face?
