Hi Doctor,
I am 18 years old, weigh 47 kg and am 5'10.For the past 75 days or so a I am experiencing breathing discomfort.I sort of make a hufffffff sound every time I inhale out and also my lower back hurts slighly(feel uncomfortable) when I bend down or do some other related activities.I consulted a pulmonologist who told me after performing a lung function test that the results are normal and I don't have any particular problem and that the breathing discomfort may be due to stress.please share your opinion in this regard.

It would be both foolish and dangerous to diagnose your health problem over the Internet, without a physical exam and lab work.

If you don't trust your Doctor get a second opinion.

Pulmonary functions test alone can cause breathing discomfort for many days because it is not a natural way of breathing. We use muscles to expel air that we don't normally strain that much. You need to see another doctor. I would think one of the first thing a doctor would do is a chest x-ray to look for some cause in the lungs. The fact that you are really aware is probably making it worse. Anxiety can cause breathing problems. If you do not want to wait to see the doctor, go to am emergency room and tell them you are having breathing difficulties. Get it checked,,
