I changed my filter now I have white smoke. What's the problem?

Did you tilt the mower? If you ever do be sure to tilt in the direction away from the carb, filter housing. Otherwise oil will run into the carb, it should burn off, (causing smoke), the real problem is that it will clog up your paper filter. You can check manuals for most brands online.
