Back in 2007 I attempted to come in the us with someone. Else's birth certificate, I was stopped by border patrol where I was interrogated for a few hours. After a couple of hours I was taken to get finger printed and my picture was taken but the I was advised that since they could not verify that I was who I said I was and since they couldn't verify that I wasn't I could either go back to mexico and come back with an id the next day or they would allow me in but I would have to risk getting stopped up ahead. I said I was going to come in and I was allowed in. Since I claimed to be a us citizen and I was not arrested nor sent back are my fingerprints still on file?

I find it hard to believe your story. You mean to say you had no US passport to back you up, and they still let you enter the US?

Well that is what happened I used someone else's birth certificate I had no id no nothing, I do want to notate that this was 6 months before they started asking for passports when traveling by land. And well while I was being interrogated by 3 officers what helped me out is that I did knew a lot of personal information however I didn't know it all.. also I was not at the bridge that is open 24 hrs I was at the older one and they were supposed to close at 12 :00 am it was now 1:00 am and they cane in and said " well we ca not verify this is u, but we ca not verify this is not u so u can either go back and have someone fax u a copy of ur id and come back tomorrow or u can come in but u need to know that u will be stopped at the other check point and u are going to have the same issue." I then stayed quiet for a few seconds and was like " well my grandma dropped me off already and is on her way and has no phone for me to tell her to turn around, she lives 6 hrs away. I have no friends or family bear the border so i guess ill just come in and when i do get stopped atleast it will be in the day time and my mom will actually pick up the phone" so they said OK and I walked to the closest gast station in brownsville.

The reason why I was asking is because I have read that if border patrol takes fingerprints of us citizens its only to verify that they are who they are but if there is no record of them and if the fingerprints show up with no record than they are not filed.
