Ok so my boyfriend and I had taken preventative measures but it broke so we got plan b. 4 days later we got swept up and didn't use any measures and I know you're not supposed to take plan b all the time so I considered maybe it would still be in my system. Then 4 days after that I started my period, which are normally heavy and painful anyway. But, if plan b can make you bleed heavier anyway, I should be on my death bed right now and I'm not. I'm really nauseous and can't shake the feeling I might be. I cannot find any other scenarios online with these circumstances. Please no lectures, I know it all and have literally never had this problem because I'm usually more responsible. Don't tell me about waiting for marriage or your religious beliefs, I've heard it all before and it really isn't going to change what already happened. But please, if anyone could answer and she'd some light on this matter it would be greatly appreciated!

Bottom line is no form of birth control is 100% effective. So any time there is penile insertion there is the risk of pregnancy. You can reduce the risks but not eliminate them. The reality here is that, if you do not want to get pregnant then don't engage in sexual intercourse. This is not a lecture but a simple statement of fact. You apparently have made a choice that you are willing to take the risk.

If you have gotten a real period, you aren't pregnant. But there is no way for us to tell if you did or not. So the only thing you can do now is wait until your next period is due and see if it arrives or go see your doctor.
