Completely baffled by the choice of mixers and taps on the market - I'd like to know which makers have solid reputations for making reliable mixers and taps of high quality. Am happy to pay for the best, but don't want to be ripped off.

Seriously, you'd be better off having a chat with the guy in B&Q as the design and functionality really is more important

Delta and Moen come to mind, My personal preference is Moen. Less parts and easier to repair. Ben, what's B &Q? Cheers Tom

B&Q is a UK based hardware store

Hey Ben,
I would never go to a hardware store and ask for the best mixer because the salesman's going to sell me the most expensive ones. I think a plumber is the one most qualified to answer the question. Have a great day. Tom

B&Q is rather different.
They actually employ people that know what they are talking about without pushing ones with high profit margins..

Can you give me the address of B&Q here in the states? Some big-box stores here in the states hire retired plumbers. However, their job is to push high-end products. I still say your best source of information is a plumber. Best regards, Tom
