Wondergirl- What do you mean what is my answer? Sorry I don't understand:) And I'm afraid no, I don't have a sentence as an example. I think the answer is adjective, but I don't know because it is a test question. No, I'm not done with school yet- I'm homeschooled, and I ran late this year ( usually I get done by April ) because my sister had her wedding in May. I just about finished my English today, and I just have a little bit of Geography left! { hoping to finish tomorrow! :) } Thanks so much for your help!

teacherjenn4- Actually this is not a gameshow, but that's a good idea!! Maybe I'll start one on here:D haha I'll let you know! :) Thanks for viewing!

What is YOUR answer to the question?

Let's concoct a sentence then.

Sentence possibilities "for what" --

Sam drove to the store to buy a gallon of milk.

Daisy bought a warm coat for winter.

Father washed the car to get rid of all the dirt.

"For what" seems to mean "why" and modifies the verb. Why part of speech does that?
