I was placed on 3 yrs.drug offender probation back in may 2010 for 7 counts of witholding information from a doctor the judge ran all 7 counts together I got 1 tech.v.o.p.in aug.2011 and I had a hearing nov.30th 2011 with the v.o.p.judge for assocationing with people involed in crimeral activey at the hearing I was given 1 year in county jail followed by 8 years felony probation my question is this how can the v.o.p.judge give me more than the max allowed for the 3rd degree felony when my ornignal charges were all run together however the state attorney lied to the judge and made him believe my charges were all run separate and the judge said he could give me 35 years in prison that for my v.o.p.and he went easy on me I thought the max I could get would be 3 to 5 years either on papers or prison and this is the only time I have been arrested since I moved to Florida back in 1985 and usually the judge says you go to jail since a person can not do papers not jail and then more probation this is a judge in pinellas county

Be happy they didn't give them to you consecutively... instead of concurrently. They did you a favor by doing that. In fact you aren't ENTITLED to get to serve them concurrently... each charge is a separate crime that has its own punishment.

Hello m:

Sounds to me like you need a lawyer to straighten it out.

Most definitely... this is not a do-it-yourself project.
