Ok, so I'm 17 years old. I have been having problems with my "lady bits" I have a white discharge that's a little stinky, not too bad, but it's not normal. I'm thinking it could be BV, but I'm not 100%. I want to go to the gynecologist to find out what's wrong and how to fix it, but I would prefer my parents not to know. I'm NOT close to them, and they told me if I ever lost my virginity before I was 18, that they would have me legally emancipated. Will the doctor let my mom know I'm not a virgin?
(And no, I know I don't have an STD. I've been with only one guy and I made him test before we had sex)

No, the doctor cannot tell your parents that you have even been to see him. There are privacy laws.

Even if he did, which as J_9 said he can't, your parent's threats of legally emancipating you are empty. No court would grant them a legal emancipation on those grounds. However, ionce you are 18, they can effectively force you out of the house.

1. Not sure he can tell, unless you tell him you are not
2. he can not tell them
3. if he did, they can not just emancipate you, it does not work like that.
4. of oourse it could be STD, there are many, and not all tested with same test
