My 2004 ford Taurus is leaking fluid from the dipstick and am having loss of power also

If it's from the transmission's dipstick, it is likely a "boil over." Drop and clean the pan and magnet, change the filter, and refill with Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF. Synthetic ATF helps prevent boil overs, by allowing the transmission to run 25 to 50 degrees cooler. If it's from the oil dipstick, the crankcase pressure may be too high. Replace the PCV Valve and accompanying hoses. Start using full synthetic engine oil (e.g. Mobil 1), which will keep the emissions control system much cleaner and prevent sludge forming in the engine.
You may be losing power, if the spark plugs have not been replaced in 50,000 miles. Use the exact Motorcraft plugs that originally came in the car.
