Have a fridgeadaire washer dryer combo. Has been working fine, but suddenly just stopped working. Neither unit will not start, as in not do anything. This was after running through complete cycles on both units. Checked electric , breakers, amps, at plug receptacle and at hook up bar. Can I get some suggestions on what to check.

If it is total loss, I would go back and look at electrical. Is there a dryer light? Doesn't come on? Electrical, look for loose wire in plug or outlet and make sure to flip the breaker all the way off and then back on.

You have a problem in the outlet or the breaker. To be safe and keep from burning your house down you need to check the wires inside the outlet(s) making sure they are tight and remove breaker box cover and check to see if the breaker screws holding wires are tight, and while you have it open tighten all the screws. Loose screws cause many, many house fires. I had some in my walls burn the insulation off about 8 inches and burn up several switches and outlets. The screws loosen up from expanding and contracting from heat over time and loose connections cause arcing and fires. If your house is over 5-10 years old it's a good idea to check them all. It will save you from a fire. The most used ones are the ones that are most likely to loosen up, but since many are strung together an outlet that is never used can loosen because one down the line is used a lot. Your problem could be much more serious than you think; get it checked out or do it yourself and get a good meter to test the outlet, if necessary.

Thanks to all. I discovered that the ground wire to the bar was loose. All is well now.
