My chevy venture 2000 cranks when I turn key but doesn't turn over or in other words I don't think it is getting the spark to spark plugs. So I think the problem is due to an electrical malfunction at one of the electronic ignition parts system ,such as one of the coil packs or electronic ignition module for example. This problem occurred once before about 2 years ago ,I hadit towed to repair shop ,they said it was due to coil packs. They replaced 2 of the three it has .would like to know if there is way to pin point which part is causing this.is there a way to test for this. Thanks for any input

AutoZone has a Well's machine for testing Ignition Control Modules (ICM). My experience has been if it tests bad, it is no good. However, if it tests fine, it may still be bad. I recommend replacing them every 125,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. My bet is the ICM is toast.
