My boyfriend had regularly been fingering me so I'd been shaving my vagina and noticed a few red spots on my inner thigh on both sides near the top of my vagina. Yesterday we had sex for the first time and I bled quite a bit I understand this was my hymen breaking. He's made me bleed before by fingering so I understand its normal. It hurt A LOT when he was inside and I have been stressed lately which may have caused the pain. I'm on a acne pill which I've been told is also a contraceptive, he used a condom as well but I'm scared that's something's gone wrong as it's the first time. I can't tell my mum and I am scared to go to the gp. How will I know if I've got any diseases? And is it normal to be bleed a bit after as well? I should have been on my period as well so the bleeding has worried me. Also could he have damaged anything inside by going too rough?

" I am scared to go to the gp. How will I know if I've got any diseases?"

There's only one way to find out and that's by going to the doctor.

You don't shave your vagina. That's the "tube" inside you. Please read up on the names of your lady parts. (There are lots of good illustrations on the Internet.)

Because of lack of knowledge about how your body works, you are playing with fire. Please educate yourself and get some medical help!

For a girl it's always somewhat painful in having because of the breakage of hymen and bleeding. If you shaved your vagina very recently before sex, then I'd say the chances are that yes: that's the reason for the irritation. That skin is pretty delicate, and all the more so when it's been irritated by something, and shaving certainly does that. Add a bunch of friction and body heat to an already irritated and sensitive area, and it's easy to see why it can become more irritated.

I've never heard of acne medication being a contraceptive!

Believe it or not, I've had friends take the "pill" because it clears up their acne.
