My son got put on felony probation (community control level 1 ) in Florida
My question is he got violated yesterday for not being home on time. When he goes to court and they try to give him time do they count the time he has already done on probation? Because he had 18 months and has already completed 17 months of his probation he only had 1 month to go

This will all depend on his original felony charges and the reason he was not on time. It would be a shame that he would go back to jail because of some dumb reason. It will be up to this parole officers report and the judge.

No, probation is not like parole, they can give him up to the full 18 months in jail.

They may not, if he has a good reason and can explain where he was. But they may give him some. ** often they may just keep him in jail pending a hearing for 3 to 4 weeks and then put back on probation to finish the time.

Hello u:

If they didn't put him in jail when they violated him, they probably won't put him in jail after the hearing.
