My roommate has not paid rent in 7 months because I was trying to help her out. She was homeless. Now she is being verbaly abusive. How do I evict her?

You can do this in one of two ways. You can give her a written notice that she has to pay all rent in full within xx number of days or move out. The number of days depends on the laws of the state where the property is located. If she doesn't pay in full within that time then you can file a lawsuit for eviction. If she doesn't pay in full by the court date then you will win a judgment and can have the sheriff or constable evict her.

The other method is to give her a written notice that her tenancy is terminated and she must move out within xx days. Once again, the number of days depends on the laws of the state where the property is located. If she doesn't move out within that time then you can file a lawsuit for eviction.
