Is there a replacement for the White Rodgers 37c93u 601 without having to disable the vacuum switch and power vent?

Hi Eric...

Please explain your question in better detail. I understand we are talking about a gas valve here, right? If so, why the concern about disconnecting the vacuum switch and power vent... shouldn't be involved if just switching the gas valve out?

Back to you...

Is this one of those gas valves that have a port for hoses from the draft inducer and pressure switch all connected together via a tee? If so, you will need to contact either a local hvac shop, or the manufacturer to see which replacement valves will work and are available.

The gas valve 37C92U 601 has a coil at the base, out of the bottom of that is the thermal couple and gas tube for the burner. The power supply is routed so that the fan has to be on to activate the vacuum switch to allow gas to the burner. Look at the valve you'll see. I am unable to locate a 37C93U 601 and was wondering if someone knew of a replacement.

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Eric

Hi Eric

When we run into cases like this, we find that a quick call over to the water heater manufacturer's technical department will be able to tell you exactly where to find a proper replacement valve.

They may even ship it out to you direct!

Good luck!
