I have an Emerald Queen Maple that I planted last year. I live in WI, when I planted last year it had leaves. We did have to water often due to high temperatures after planting. This spring the tree is green under the bark and has buds, but no leaves yet and it is now the 1st of June.

You had a long cold winter there. I live in ATL, we had a cold spring and my Pin Oaks were very late. They should show up. If you had a cold snap after they budded, you may have killed the buds but they will sprout again.
